Iloprost

Iloprost is an experimental stable form of prostacyclin that can be delivered via inhalation. Prostacyclin helps dilate pulmonary capillaries and appears to help protect the pulmonary endothelia, from erosion. To be assessed for whether it is appropriate for you to participate in an Iloprost clinical trial, contact Prof. Seeger (49 641 994 2500 [voice], 49 641 994 2509 [fax]) or Dr. Anne Keogh (61 2 339 1111 [voice], 61 2 332 4267 [fax]).  There is also a clinical trial of Iloprost planned in the UK for pulmonary hypertension that is secondary to scleroderma. The Objectives, Deign and Study Population for this clinical trial, sponsored by Schering, is described here.
